Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Timothy Hertz
Dr. Hertz and his wife Amy reside in Brooklyn, New York. He is a Vermont native, while his wife is originally from North Caldwell, NJ. Dr. Hertz completed his dental training at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he earned the prestigious Donald Greiner, D.D.S. Scholarship for academic excellence. He completed his residency at the Brooklyn Veterans Affairs Hospital, giving back to those who have given so much for our country. He has also donated his time and care to participants of the Special Olympics and the Mission of Mercy. Dr. Hertz has taken extensive continuing education in restorative dentistry and root canal treatment. “When I am not taking care of my patients at Dental Care, I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my wife, Amy, and dog, Rusty.”
Dr. Elle Belfer
Dr. Elle Belfer is a graduate of Baruch College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and she continued her education and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school Dr. Belfer was on the Dean’s list and has received an honorary Omicron Kappa Upsilon award for academic excellence.
She completed a clinical externship at the Dental Center in Somerdale where she served medically complex patients under the Ryan White grant.
Dr. Belfer has been an active member of ASDA and the ADA since 2017, where she works closely with dental students and dentists to implement outreach programs such as food drives, dental education and charity events. Dr. Belfer is committed to improvement of her skills and knowledge through constant continuing education and clinical peer reviews.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world, cooking, reading, and spending time with her cat Ksana. Dr. Belfer speaks fluent Russian and enjoys helping people look and feel more confident by doing high quality, long lasting dentistry.
Dr. Amanda Hochstein
Dr. Amanda Hochstein earned her D.D.S. degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She completed her specialty training in Periodontics at New York University College of Dentistry, where she was able to train under some of the most prestigious members of her field. She earned her board certification in Periodontics, and has lectured at local and national dental conferences on a wide variety of periodontal topics. She has extensive experience in all aspects of periodontal treatment, from implants to bone regeneration, to gum grafting and laser therapy. She is also a member of the board of the Northeastern Society of Periodontists. Dr. Hochstein brings to our practice the latest and most effective periodontal and implant treatments available, and strives to provide treatment that is comfortable and predictable. She is a very caring and compassionate practitioner, who prides herself on the relationships she builds with her patients.
Dr. Hochstein resides in New Jersey with her husband Greg. When she is not taking care of patients, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, and traveling. What she loves most about working at Dental Care is the warm and caring environment in which she can provide exceptional care for each patient she treats.
